Suleika Bort graduated in Business Administration (Diplom-Kauffrau) at the University of Mannheim with a focus on Organization, Marketing, and Industrial Psychology. Suleika Bort worked as a Research Assistant and Doctoral Candidate at the Chair of Business Administration and Organization (Prof. Dr. Alfred Kieser) at the University of Mannheim and wrote her Habilitation at the Chair of SME Research and Entrepreneurship (Prof. Dr. Michael Woywode) also at Mannheim University. During this time, she was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University (USA) and Northwestern University (USA). In addition, Suleika Bort held an interim professorship at the TU Kaiserslautern for one year. After a period as Lecturer at the University of Sydney (Australia) and Professor of Organization and International Management at the TU Chemnitz, she was appointed as the Head of the Chair of International Management and Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Passau in 2020. 

Currently, Suleika Bort is also Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Information Systems at the University of Passau and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Applied Ethics in Business, Education and Training at the University of Passau.

Suleika Bort works at the intersection of international management, sustainability and social entrepreneurship. Her research focuses in particular on globally active organizations and the question of how these organizations can be designed and managed in a socially and sustainably responsible manner. Furthermore, Suleika Bort deals with the emergence and management of international cooperation and networks, organizational theories and the development of new markets.
