Bachelor Seminar "Strategic Sensitivity and Digitalization"
This seminar was challenging and time-intensive, but extremely rewarding and a must-have for anyone interested in strategy and consulting.

Within the Core Module Management, Innovation, Marketing (MIM), the Chair of Strategic Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship offers each summer term the bachelor seminar "Strategic Sensitivity and Digitaliziation" for undergraduates.
Course objectives
- Students get familiar with the concept of strategic sensitivity and with recent developments in digitalization.
- After the course, they will be able to apply theories and methods of strategic management, innovation and entrepreneurship research, communication research as well as leadership research to solve digital challenges strategically, to develop own digital business models, and to communicate them successfully.
- Furthermore, students will train their presentation skills by pitching their own innovations to an expert panel.

Target Group
Undergraduate students enrolled in the following degree programmes
- "Business Administration and Economics" (B.Sc. BAE),
- "Business Computing (new examination regulations)" (B.Sc. WI),
- "Bachelor Digital Transformation in Business and Society" (B.Sc. DTBS), and
- "International Culture and Business Studies" (B.A. ICBS).
Administrative modalities

- Credits: 7 ECTS (4 SWS)
- The seminar takes place every summer term
- Application is required.
Estimated schedule
The plenary seminar sessions typically take place during the first half of every term, and the individual team sessions take place in the second half of every term.
Your grade will be based on a team essay and a presentation.
- Essay (30%): In this 5-7 you review the literature of the course (about 5 - 7 pages, due mid-term)
- Set of slides and final presentation (70%): 60 minutes (incl. 30 minutes Q&A)
We additionally, expect active participation throughout the course.
As capacitites are restricted, it will be necessary to apply for this seminar according to the central 2-step application process.
