Program Structure
The Entrepreneurial Pathfinder certificates for both, Bachelor and Master, consist of the following three pillars:
- Entrepreneurship,
- Trends, and
- Entrepreneurial Skills.
In the lectures and seminars of the first pillar, Entrepreneurship, you will gain a basic theoretical understanding of entrepreneurship. You can pursue courses such as Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Strategy for High-Tech Start-ups, Migrant Business, Intercultural Entrepreneurship, or Social Entrepreneurship.
Courses in the second pillar, Trends, aim to broaden your horizon by learning something entirely new. You can choose from lecture series and seminars on current topics, such as digital trends, intercultural communication, or media psychology.
The third pillar focuses on Entrepreneurial skills. In workshops and seminars such as the 5 Euro Business, the Ideation Days, the Pitch Workshop or Social Entrepreneurship you will acquire skills such as ideation, the development of business models, or pitching.
Course recognition
You need to complete at least 4-5 ECTS in each pillar, i.e. 14 ECTS in total. Of these 14 ECTS you can acquire 10 in your degree programme; 4-5 ECTS should be acquired in a course that is not part of your regular degree and chosen from a faculty other than your own.
For a full course list, please, refer to the Course list for the Entrepreneurial Pathfinder. If there are courses that are not listed in the overview but fit the program, please contact Friederike Hawighorst.
Please note: bachelor and master students have to take courses according to their study level at the University of Passau. Courses for both levels are available at the vhb – Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern.
