Research stays have taken her to the Bentley University, University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), New York University (NYU), the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and the University of Michigan, and visiting professorships at Corvinus University (Budapest) and the State University of Management (Moscow).
Her research focuses on the intersection of three key issues in digitization and work: (1) the role of AI in organizations and IT platforms; (2) governance and management of sustainable behavior; and (3) changes in work design. Her research on ways to promote sustainable employee behavior through information systems was funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
