PAULA
General proceeding of experiments
After the basic system registration the registered candidates will from time to time receive emails inviting then to participate in experiments. Every invitation contains date, time and approximate length of the experiment in question. At the appointed time, the participants appear in the (virtual) laboratory and the experiment is carried out. After finishing the experiment the participants are paid. The laboratory has 20 seats all in all (table/chair/partition/computer) and several servers. The equipment was designed for mobility and thus allows different spatial and technical setting. This allows for the examination of different interdisciplinary questions. As organizational boundaries blur in symbiotic, network-like entrepreneurial relationships, the laboratory also allows for the appraisal of behaviour in virtual contexts.
The rules in the laboratory are those of economic experiments, i.e. there is no deception of the candidates and all experiments provide monetary incentives, for participants. Concretely, this means that everything participants are told must be true, and that the participants receive monetary compensation depending on their decisions during the experiments. With regard to the design of the experiments we highly value accuracy, repeatability, generality and usefulness.
