Term Paper
For Bachelor- and Masterstudents
Within the scope of the term paper, you will deal scientifically with current issues in the field of accounting and auditing within a specified period of time. You will independently write a term paper, present interim and final results of your work and learn or deepen your skills for scientific work. Prior knowledge from previous studies in the field of accounting / financial reporting (Bachelor) or in the field of international accounting / IFRS (Master) is recommended.

Please send your complete application documents for the summer term 2025 in the period from 13.01.2025 to 20.01.2025 in one single pdf-file (lastname_surname.pdf) to: sekretariat.accaud@uni-passau.de.
Please note that all communication must take place via the student e-mail address! We therefore recommend you to check your mailbox regularly.
After the application deadline, you will be informed promptly by e-mail whether you have received a seminar place. If you do not wish to take up an acceptance you have received, please deregister immediately at the chair via sekretariat.accaud@uni-passau.de.
Registration for the course in Stud.IP takes place automatically via the secretary's office of the chair.

Dates and Topics Bachelor- and Masterseminars winter term 2024/25
The Chair of Accounting and Auditing is offering seminars at Bachelor's and Master's level on the topic of ‘Enforcement of Accounting and Sustainability Reporting’ in the winter semester 2024/2025. The seminar will be held in cooperation with the Capital Markets Advisory Services department of PwC Vienna.
Enforcement of the correct application of accounting and sustainability standards is central to the usefulness of information from corporate reporting. In the seminar, the institutional structures of enforcement in Europe will be examined and specific cases of non-compliance with standards by listed companies from published error reports will be discussed.
The seminar can be attended by students on the Bachelor's degree programme in Economics and the Bachelor's degree programme in Cultural Studies.
