The research of the chair is dedicated to questions of:

• International Accounting
• Corporate Reporting
• Corporate Governance

One focus of the research is on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and in particular on their emergence (standard setting) as well as the local application and enforcement of the standards. This generates insights for science and practice on standard setting processes and the possibilities and limitations of international standards.
