The annual spring meeting 2016 of the Wissenschaftliche Kommission Rechnungswesen (WK RECH) being part of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB) took place from 15th - 17th February 2016 at the Universität Passau.

The WK RECH is one of the most traditional and one of the strongest member group within the VHB. Nearly all German speaking holders of accounting, auditing and control chairs are part of it.

The conference is held annually and its purpose is the professional exchange as well as the discussion of current topics in this field. The range of topics covered from Financial and Non-financial Disclosure over Big Data Analytics to value-based management and business valuation. Well-known colleagues came to show their presentations. Furthermore, a workshop for young academics (doctoral candidates, post-docs and graduates admitted for habilitation) took place within the frame of the conference WK RECH 2016. This regularly held workshop normally is dedicated to a special research method.

Also the interchange among scientists and practitioners is a central idea of the association.
