Have you already heard of CONNI, WeBackpack, Lesson Organizer, Boxie, Starwise, Hotpack, BayernConnectEd, TvrochaBa and GreenifyUp? These 9 teams have successfully completed the ‘Honours Degree in Entrepreneurship’ 2022. Their well developed and diverse business ideas combine, in particular, the themes of digital technologies, social challenges, and entrepreneurship.

Over the past 7 months, the students attended intensive incubations and workshops on customer market attractiveness, business model design, sustainability, interculturality, prototyping as well as negotiation. In addition to professional training, the programme is based on individual project-specific coaching of the teams by professors, lecturers, and experts from the industry.

On Thursday, 13th October, the final pitch event took place as part of the Entrepreneurship Day at the University of Passau. After some introductory words by the vice-president Prof. Obermaier, and the holder of the chair for intercultural communications, Prof. Barmeyer, the teams presented their pitches, which were evaluated by a panel of experts (Dr. Fritz Audebert, Veronika Hackl, Dr. Daniel Holzmann, und Dr. Jutta Krogull). A special mention belongs to the two participating teams from our partner university in Kiev (KNEU), who successfully participated in the ‘Honours Degree’ and achieved great progress their start-ups despite the ongoing war. After the pitch event, the students received their well-deserved certificates, accompanied by a touching speech by Prof. Schumann, who used the moment to draw attention to the current situation in Ukraine.
