BeEmobile: innovative services to get electric mobility on the road
An intelligent fleet management system for the public authorities and individual sharing offers: As part of the project 'BeEmobile', a research group of the University of Passau is developing innovative services to make electric mobility come true.
BeEmobile is aimed at establishing electric mobility as a mainstream mobility option of the future, by breaking down customers' misgivings and increasing the market penetration of electric vehicles. To this end, the group conducts research on intrinsically marketable services that allow for a user group as large and heterogeneous as possible to discover electric mobility.
By providing drivers of electric vehicles with a comprehensive service package that is targeted to their present level of experience with electric mobility - including test drives and short-term rental options and energy sharing - the researchers hope to make it easier for customers to take the electric mobility path.
A consortium of industrial and academic partners is working on the project under guidance of BMW AG. This consortium project receives funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
