classEx
classEx: Interaktive Experimente und Umfragen
classEx is an interactive web platform developed at the Chair of Economic Theory at the University of Passau. It enables the easy integration of surveys and live experiments directly into the lecture hall. Used worldwide, classEx is highly versatile and can be applied across a wide range of academic disciplines: in economics for analyzing strategic interaction and behavioral phenomena, in political science to simulate elections or opinion polls, or in psychology to explore the effects of roles and scenarios. Spontaneous knowledge checks and short quizzes can also be easily incorporated – for increased interactivity in the classroom. Students participate anonymously using their smartphones, tablets, or laptops.
classEx at School
classEx at School brings the classEx concept into secondary education. For this purpose, age-appropriate economic experiments, teaching materials, and practical examples have been developed. Students experience economic concepts in a playful and hands-on way – from market mechanisms to individual decision-making. In doing so, classEx at School fosters economic thinking and active engagement in the classroom.
